called lany at 8:00 am on friday, blizzard approaching, heading out the door, and invited her to come along to boston with me... and she said yes!!! this is one of my favorite things about lany.
for the record, we made it up to boston without a hitch, and serendipity even led us to this photo booth at the rest stop where we waited out the storm for a while.

reel around the fountain

some nights the heat from the city, the summer, and the wine can only be calmed by doing something a little crazy! i recently joined my big sister for the last leg of her east-coast road trip, and after dinner on Boston Harbor, the mood was perfect for a run through this fountain. thanks to my sister's roommate krista for joining me!

Mika and I took the Fung Wah bus up to Boston for a few days so that she would get a chance to see the city before going back to Japan. It sucked that it rained the whole time, but the Christian Science Center was as beautiful as ever.

in boston, me and mika stayed with my best friend jan, who just haaappens to live in a castle... we missed the train into downtown, but didn't really mind because we got to have a silly photoshoot at the castle instead!
