dhruv invited us to his unbelievable apartment this week to try on his mom's beautiful old saris, watch bollywood music videos and eat an authentic indian dinner made by his personal chef!! i decided i need to save up for a sari of my own~ what an incredible garment and the pieces could actually look great separate too! also, i guess i had only tried watered down american-indian food before, because i couldn't believe how spicy and delicious the dinner was. thank you dhruv for an amazing day and for teaching us about the indian culture!

i got a perm yesterday... i know that sounds weird but i promise that in korea it's completely normal!! imagine the whole country with naturally straight black hair~ everybody wants to change it to have their own look! this also means that perms/dye jobs are incredibly cheap soooo i figured why not! although now that i see it on my chubby ramen face i'm having a few doubts...

having a visitor in town is the best excuse to get out and see all of those sights that i've been putting off, so today austin and i went to the palace by city hall to check out some ancient korean history. my favorite part of these palaces are the hand-painted designs on every building~ just being in those plazas makes you feel like you've gone back in time...
